We have been coming to punta pescadera for 4 years now and am excited to see the changes that they are making to elevate the already beautiful property! They will be adding an infinity pool along side other fun activities such as corn hole, Bicycles, hiking the area, strolling the beautiful grounds, whale watching from your room and much more. The food is tasty and make sure to enjoy adult beverages! You won’t be disappointed ! Jodi Jakeman2025-02-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paradise is exactly what this place is. Off the beaten path but if your looking for rest & relaxation with exceptional service and food, this is your spot. Special shout out to Mikey, Ernesto & Perla for the outstanding service they provided us for the week. Excited to return. Thank you. The snorkeling right in front was also good. It's a rough bumpy dirt road to drive there. Which is some of the lure. This place is set in an absolutely beautiful area! The views are very incredible! The rooms are ok. They are clean and everything works. And if you want your room turned over they will take care of it everyday if you want. And here is the tip no one seems to have gotten to. Take the Los Barrilos Santa Teresa hwy out to El Cardinal to get there you will be much much happier. It will take another 10-15 minutes but so worth it over following Google over that treacherous road up the cost! I would suggest Don't Do It! The staff is friendly and professional! They give it there all but I think they can get overwhelmed. This place is isolated from everything. And when we were there the bar was not open. You could get drinks and cold beer for sure but the bar itself wasn't open. Now the restaurant is not good. It will take you a long time to get anything! Just coffee could take way too long and sometimes they don't bring it at all. We went to get the continental breakfast that's included with your stay and one time they delivered the coffee to our table one time they did not. And honestly the coffee was the only reason we were there. So to not get it was very disappointing. On night we went in and I order the "New York" steak that they have on the menu. First they keep saying the "Ribeye" I had to keep correcting them. Then it took an unreasonable amount of time to show up. Once I got my steak it was still refrigerator cold in the middle. That was very disappointing considering the premium price they charged for it. There is no question they took it back and microwaved my steak. It came back very fast but was warm. I ate as much as I could and called it a night. Do not expect this place to reliably feed you and the other hard part is they don't have any kitchen anything in your room not even a microwave to warm up leftover pizza. They have a little fridge that will keep your beer cold and a tiny "coffee" maker in the room but nothing else. This place is beautiful but it's unlikely I would ever stay there again. The rooms were great, the service was excellent, the food was good, and we were able to relax and reconnect. The stay was memorable enough for us to want to return soon, which is very rare for us to say. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable, relaxing, no-frills getaway. Quite remote, along a stretch of ocean with maybe a dozen private villas that are probably primarily accessed via the little airport landing strip. We saw three private planes parked. Most of the private villas seemed not used while we were there. The hotel guests had the beach to themselves, pretty much. The hotel had maybe a dozen rooms, with an additional southern wing under maintenance, i.e. not used. The hotel itself is at the southern edge of this development, gorgeous views from the restaurant and all the rooms. We spend 7 days from Dec. 27th to Jan. 3rd, and mostly just hung out on the beach in one of the cabana's. Snorkeling is great. Saw dozens of different species of fish, octopus, a moray eel. Visibility in the water varies a lot depending on wind. During calm sees it is fantastic. Food was great, cocktails even better. People are really nice. There are two exits from the paved road coming from Los Barilles. Don't take the southern (first exit closest to Barilles) road as it is longer and scarier on the dirt road. The second (northern exit) from the paved road is much easier to drive. Both are easy to find as signage from the paved road is good. You exit from highway 1 in Los Barilles, past the Oxo, all through Barilles and then just follow the paved road until you see the signs for the hotel. They offer ATVs for rent if you get bored and want to explore the area. Maybe we will do that next time we come back. They have bikes for free, and also paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, multiple little boats. You can organize fishing trips for a fee. There is a mini-super about 30min walk north, but otherwise nothing to walk to except beach walks. giovanni bozzetto2025-01-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. luogo immerso nella natura, cucina ottima, ideale per famiglie, Dennis Cintas2024-11-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We spent 4 days and 5 nights at this beautiful property during October 27 thru Nov 1st. The final 20 mile drive from the highway to the property was EXTREMELY dangerous but we arrived safely. We were greeted immediately by the wonderful concierge and checked in at the open front desk. We loved the initial showing of our room but we're NOT given details of WiFi, A/C operaerytion and other important features that needed to be addressed. The property is stunning but in need of upgrade in many areas. The staff were amazing and extremely professional although it does take time and precise communication to get meals according to order requests and drinks, if blended, require ear plugs due to that the high devible level of the one blender used at the bar. The breakfast was "Continental" and not the "full" breakfast advertised. All meals were served timely and were all delicious. A walk around the property uncovered definite need of upgrades and repairs. The tennis court is overgrown with weeds and access to the court itself is difficult (We couldn't play Pickleball as promised). We stayed in the honeymoon suite and found after our first shower and bathroom use that there is definite need for a deep clean of the floors, commode and shower walls (Possible mold) The tile floors of the bedroom need a deep cleaning. The bedframe has a waterbed feel and is, according to another guest we got to know, feels like you're on a boat. The resort had approximately 12 total guests staying at the property during our stay making our stay very intimate. Again, the staff at the hotel were 5-Star and the meals very good and served in a very appealing fashion. Our "fish" caught earlier one day was wonderfully prepared and leftovers enjoyed the next days as well. Overall, Hotel Punta Pescadero was a very nice experience and could easily have been better. We can honestly say that the new ownership have their work cut out to have their resort condition rated more than a 3.5. Location rating: 5 Service: 4.5 Property Exterior: 4.0 Rooms: 3.5 Room Cleanliness: 3.5 Access to beach: 4.0 Ammenities: 3.5 Thank you for the wonderful location, guest service and delicious meals and overall ambiance.
